Back Orders

If an item is marked “Available on Back-Order,” it means we’re temporarily out of stock — but don’t worry, we’ll get straight on it and start making it for you.

Most back-order items are produced and dispatched the next working day, depending on the size of the order. Larger or more complex prints may take a little longer; for example, items with multiple components (such as the XXL T-Rex) require additional print and assembly time. In these cases, we recommend allowing 3–5 working days for completion.

Bulk orders—such as requesting 60 units of the same product—also need extra production time, but we’ll still work as quickly as possible to get everything printed and shipped without delay.

You’re always welcome to place a back order, and you’ll receive your items as fast as our printers can produce them. We aim to keep strong stock levels at all times, but occasionally demand exceeds supply. When that happens, we make your back-order items with priority.

Made-to-order items that are not back orders
Some items are produced to order. Where this applies, additional production time may be required before dispatch. Delivery times quoted by the courier apply after the item has been dispatched.

Charges

Delivery charges will be illustrated during checkout. We charge a standard flat rate fee of £4.95 up to a weight of 1.99kg for Royal Mail Tracked 48 with the option of upgrading to Tracked 24.

2kg and above varies on weight and size of box, these will all be presented during the checkout process.

* Spend over £85 with us and your postage, shipping and packing is free for parcels up to 19.99kg. The checkout automatically recognises this and deducts the shipping fee. Heavier orders may require an alternative courier. Where this applies, any additional delivery costs will need to be covered by the customer.

Shipping take place between the hours of 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday. All orders received before 14:30 will be shipped out the same day (unless it’s made to order or a back order). Orders after 14:30 may be shipped the next working day Mon-Fri. All orders received after 14:30 on a Friday will be shipped on the following Monday providing it is not a bank holiday, in which case it will be shipped on the Tuesday.

We primarily use Royal Mail for delivery with the occasional use of Evri. For larger or heavier orders, alternative couriers such as Parcelforce, DPD or FedEx may be used.

We may charge a redelivery fee if no one is available on site to take delivery of the goods if they cannot be delivered.

Please Note:

Delivery charges to Channel Islands, Scottish Highlands, Isle of Man and remote areas are subject to quotations and may take longer. Your order will be held until additional delivery charges have been confirmed and agreed. Please contact us first before placing an order.

Returns

Goods are not sold on a trial basis. Customers should check specifications and suitability before ordering.

The 3D printing Shed Ltd does not warrant the suitability of goods for specific applications.

Returns & Refunds Policy (UK Law Compliant)

1. Overview

At The 3D Printing Shed Ltd, we want you to be completely satisfied with your order. This policy outlines your rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.


2. Your Right to Cancel (Standard, Non-Custom Items)

If you purchase a standard, non-custom product, you have a legal 14-day cooling-off period from the date you receive your item.

If cancelling an eligible order:

  • You must notify us within 14 days of delivery.

  • You then have an additional 14 days to return the item.

  • Return postage is your responsibility unless the item is faulty.

  • Items must be returned unused and in original condition.

Refunds

We will refund:

  • The full purchase price

  • The cost of standard delivery
    Refunds are issued within 14 days of receiving the returned item or proof of return.


3. Custom, Bespoke & Made-to-Order Items

Most products from The 3D Printing Shed Ltd are made to order or custom-designed.

Under UK law, these items are exempt from the 14-day cooling-off period, meaning:

  • No “change of mind” returns

  • No cancellations once production has started

  • Refunds are only offered if the item is faulty or not as described

This is due to material, production time, and personalisation factors.


4. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect, you are fully protected under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

You must notify us within:

  • 30 days for a full refund on faulty goods

  • After 30 days, we may offer a repair or replacement first

Return postage for faulty/incorrect items is covered by us.


5. Non-Returnable Items

We cannot accept returns for:

  • Custom/personalised/made-to-order items

  • Items returned used, damaged, or not in original condition

  • Sale/clearance items (unless faulty)
